There is a story about a coup d’état that took place in small kingdom. When the soldiers came looking for the king to kill him, he fled into the city and hid in a tailor shop. Immediately recognizing his important guest, the tailor, without so much as a question, shoved him under a large pile of clothing. Shortly thereafter, soldiers stormed into the shop, swords in hand, shouting, “We know the king is hiding here!” Stabbing the pile of clothes repeatedly, they missed the king by mere inches. Finding nothing, the soldiers stalked out and into the next shop. When the king emerged from under the clothes, he said to the kind old tailor, “Thank you. You saved my life. For this, I would like to grant you three wishes.” Surprised and excited, the humble tailor thought for a moment and asked, “First off, when your power is restored, I would like you to declare a National Tailors Day. Secondly, all tailors in the kingdom should be paid double. And thirdly…” he paused for a moment before... Read More

When a child is born, he is born on a particular day, at a particular time, in a particular place. And when he breathes his first breath, there are certain cosmic energies surrounding him that will govern him for his entire life. Am I saying that we are bound to our astrological influences from birth? The answer is no. We are not slaves to the universe. This is an important kabbalistic concept. The stars impel but they do not compel. The point of spirituality is actually to overcome the natural robotic behavior that our sign seems to call for, so that we can ultimately reach our soul's potential. Still, it is easier to ride a wave up, than it is to ride a wave down. In other words, it is to our benefit to learn about each month and the tools it makes available to us. Why? Because whether we are a Leo or a Taurus or a Scorpio, the cosmic alignment during each month will impact our lives. Therefore, this week, as we welcome the New Moon of Pisces, it is important to know how we can use... Read More

Dearest students of the Kabbalah Centre around the world; It is with immense gratitude for the opportunity to share this story that I write this. You may know that we have a Kabbalah Centre in the Ivory Coast. What you might not know is that this small and united community gathers together every week on Shabbat and participates in the spiritual connections using the tools and the streaming of the Kabbalah Centre. The power of the Zohar and the dedication of this small group has brought miracles to some of the students there, in ways that perhaps outside of the Centre seem hard to imagine, but for us not at all hard to believe. When the power of unity, effort, and commitment are applied together with the tools of kabbalah, the force of the light cannot help but be brought to bear on the darkness. This teaches us that limitations such as distance are never an obstacle for what other place in the world can have such unity even as far away as the Ivory coast. I hope that Dr Ahoua’s email... One concept that many of us who practice spirituality understand is that there is no such thing as an accident. There are some things that need to take place in the universe because of the Universal Law of Cause and Effect. It is up to us, however, whether we will be the initiators of such events. For example, let’s say we are driving a car and, God forbid, we hit someone. Even if we think it was a completely unavoidable "accident," we need to realize there is a reason why our energy put us into a place where we ended up being behind the wheel. In life, as most of us have seen if we are old enough, there is no such thing as an unpaid debt, even though it might look as if there is. Let me give you an example. There is a kabbalistic story about a man who was very evil. In this life, however, it seemed that he had everything. Whatever he wanted just seemed to come to him—money, friends, family, etc. But while many opportunities presented themselves for him to do good deeds, he never took... Read More

In this week's Bible reading of Yitro (Jethro), the totality of mind-over-matter energy is manifested through the giving of the Ten Commandments on Mount Sinai. According to the kabbalists, the Ten Commandments—or as literally translated, the Ten Utterances—were not orders that God gave the people as a way of dictating what they could and could not do. Instead, they represent the totality of the spiritual tools and energy given by the Creator to all of humanity. The Ten Utterances contain the power to overcome chaos in all areas of our lives. Why? Because when we connect with spirituality, we connect with a force that transcends the limitations of the physical world. So with such power in this week’s reading, why is the portion called "Yitro"? Who was this person Yitro that his portion should contain such immense Light as the Revelation of the Ten Utterances on Mount Sinai? It is written that Yitro was initially a channel for negativity, a master of all the various forms of magic that... Read More

This week, the Bible speaks about the escape of the Israelites from Egypt and about the miracle of the splitting of the Red Sea. While in Egypt, the Israelites witnessed the ten plagues, which, although not positive, were miraculous nonetheless. Then on the day of their escape from Egypt, all the Israelites’ diseases and illnesses were healed immediately. Amazingly, they walked out of their bondage free and healthy! What we understand from this story is that this group of people experienced the Creator first-hand. Then what happened? Just a few days later while travelling in the desert, they doubted that the Creator would provide them with sustenance. Little knowing that the miracle of the manna from heaven was right around the corner, they began to complain that they didn't have anything to eat. Now how could they think like that? Hadn’t they just escaped from hundreds of years of oppression? Hadn’t they just walked through the waters of the Red Sea on dry ground For us, this is a... Read More

In the midst of such chaos in my life, I have been able to find peace through studying Kabbalah. Without any doubts whatsoever, I would highly recommend anyone to call. I am so thankful for The Kabbalah Centre, because it has made all the difference in my spiritual growth and development.

Kabbalah is the best gift I have had this year. But it did not come easy. It is a result of a lot of hard, focused, and disciplined work my teacher guided me through. Often I had to go out of my comfort zone to apply the tools. But the satisfaction and confidence I now feel is indescribable.

Now I look back and question what exactly I did and how I managed without these teachings in my life.
